Database Menu
Data Menu
The Data menu contains the following options:
- Clubs and Teams - Add/edit/delete clubs and teams from the database
- Players - Add/edit players within the current database
- Match Types - Add/edit/delete defined match types
- Locations - Add/edit/delete locations to identify where a match took place
- Weather - Add/edit/delete weather types for use when creating a match
- Officials - Add/edit/delete officials names and types
- Pitch - Add/edit/delete pitch conditions for use when creating a match
- Bowling Styles - Add/edit/delete bowling styles to identify an individual player's bowling style
- Import Players - Import a previously exported list of clubs and/or teams and players in XML format
- Export Players - Export clubs and/or teams and players in XML format
- Import Match Type - Import a previously exported list of match types in XML format
- Export Match Type - Export definable list of match types in XML format
- Create new database - Overwrite the existing database with a new empty one. [Only use if the existing database has become corrupted, or is no longer required, as all data will be replaced]
- Move database - Move the underlying database from its current directory to another, the database will then be used from this new location
- Copy the database - Copy the underlying database from its current directory to another, the database will continue to be used from the original location. In essence this creates a backup of the database in an alternate location
- Replace the database - Replace the underlying database with another taken from a selected directory. The original database will be backed up before being replaced
- Merge clubs - Merge two or more clubs in the database into a single club (all data for each original club will be applied to the merged club)
- Merge teams - Merge two or more teams in the database into a single team (all data for each original team will be applied to the merged team)
- Merge players - Merge two or more players in the database into a single players (all data for each original player will be applied to the merged player)
- Merge officials - Merge two or more officials in the database into a single Official
